OUR ORGANIZATION
The Foundation for the Knowledge Society is a non-profit, non-governmental organization (NGO) based in Spain, the European Union, that was constituted in the year 2004 under the Spain’s Law 50/2002 of December 26th on Foundations. It is registered with the Ministry of Education of the Government of Spain with the code 772EDU and has legal, full capacity to act always. Its Tax Identification Code (CIF) is G73263535.
The purpose of this entity includes, but is not limited to, research, education and cooperation at all territorial and geo-political levels. The knowledge areas covered by the Foundation for the Knowledge Society include, but are not limited to, artificial intelligence and robotics, biodiversity, bioinformatics, biotechnologies, circular economy, climate change, digital marketing, digital societies and economies, education technologies, emotional intelligence, geopolitics, green and renewable energies, healthcare, information management, security, social skills, web technologies, etc.
The Foundation for the Knowledge Society acts thanks to networks of specialist volunteers, of international scope and of great reputation in their respective professional knowledge areas. These volunteers collaborate with the Foundation for the Knowledge Society altruistically and selflessly, offering their time, experience, knowledge and efforts so that the projects and initiatives undertaken by the Foundation for the Knowledge Society be successful for society, especially for the most disadvantaged.
The funding to carry out the projects and initiatives, which are described on this website, comes at present from donations from individuals or entities through micro-patronage or donations. Financing is also obtained at the Foundation for the Knowledge Society from Governments, the European Union and industry (in the latter case normally through contracts for consulting services, research or education/training)

RESEARCH AND COOPERATION PROJECTS
The Foundation for the Knowledge Society designs, promotes or carries out collaborative research, development and innovation projects, especially of an applied nature, in various social and productive sectors. The research areas cover, but are not limited to: artificial intelligence and robotics, biodiversity, bioinformatics, circular economy, climate change, digital societies and economies, education technologies, emotional intelligence, geopolitics, green and renewable energies, healthcare, social skills and security.

The Foundation for the Knowledge Society organizes, promotes and cooperatively manages education initiatives at the pre-university, university and postgraduate levels at an international level, to increase the possibility of access to (better) jobs and promote human development throughout the world. The education areas encompass, but are not limited to: artificial intelligence and robotics, biodiversity, bioinformatics, biotechnologies, circular economy, climate change, digital marketing, digital societies and economies, education technologies, emotional intelligence, geopolitics, green and renewable energies, healthcare, information management, security, social skills and web technologies.
